Evidence & citations

L-theanine studies use different amounts and endpoints. Oral GABA research remains limited; neither ingredient proves that this complete strip treats anxiety or improves cognition. Review sedating medicines and overlapping calming products.

How closely does the research match?

  • Compare the 50 mg theanine amount with the amount used in the study rather than borrowing a result from a different dose.
  • Some theanine studies include caffeine. This calming strip is a different preparation, so those combination results cannot demonstrate its effect.
  • The oral GABA review reports limited evidence for stress and very limited evidence for sleep. Neither proves a result for this strip.

No finished-product clinical trial is presented here. Compare the preparation, amount, population, duration and outcome in each source. A peer-reviewed paper is not a guarantee of results.
