Vitamin B12
Vitamin B12 supports blood formation and neurological function. Correcting deficiency matters; taking extra B12 does not reliably create extra energy or cognition in replete adults.
What it is
Vitamin B12 is required for normal red-blood-cell formation, DNA synthesis and neurological function. Risk of deficiency rises with vegan diets, malabsorption, older age and some medicines.
What human research suggests
Supplementation corrects biochemical deficiency, but reviews find little or no meaningful cognitive or fatigue benefit in people without deficiency. “Energy metabolism” on a label does not mean a stimulant-like energy effect.
Vitamin B12 in an OYAH formula.

What to consider before use.
B12 is generally well tolerated and has no established tolerable upper intake level. Still, unexplained fatigue, numbness or anemia needs assessment because folate, iron, thyroid and other conditions can overlap. Metformin and acid-suppressing medicines can affect B12 status.
